Formation
Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan was founded by Kulpati Dr.K. M. Munshi ,
great philosopher, statesman, educationist, solicitor and above
all a visionary. It was established on 7th November 1938 with the
blessings of Mahatma Gandhi. According to Munshiji, “The Bhavan’s
is an unending activity, a movement in furtherance of great cause
of Indian Culture”. It has today 117 Kendras spread all over India
& 6 centres abroad in London, New York, Mexico city, Lisbon, Durban
& Sydney. It runs 320 educational institutions. In 2002, the Bhavan’s
was honoured with a Communal Harmony Award and in 2003 with the
International Gandhi Peace Prize.
BCIDS, under academic guidance of S P Jain Institute of Management & Research was envisioned for grooming young professionals to work in fast growing domains of banking, insurance, retail, marketing etc. The endeavor of the center is to make youth more employable. Our Professional programs are an attempt towards this goal.
BCIDS is a joint initiative of four top institutions at Bhavan’s Andheri campus. The institutes are Bhavan’s college of Arts, Commerce & Science, Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Sardar Patel College of Information Technology & S P Jain Institute of Management and Research. This gives us unique advantage of Conceiving, Constructing any delivering educational module on most of subjects.
